F-Type Interface

• Description: The F-type interface is a universal interface often used with lenses having focal lengths greater than 25mm.
• Use Case: This type is typically used when larger lenses are needed, due to longer focal lengths.

C-Type Interface

• Description: The C-type interface is a common standard for lenses with shorter focal lengths, typically under 25mm.
• Specifications: The distance from the contact surface to the lens's focal plane (where the camera's CCD sensor is located) is 17.5mm.

CS-Type Interface

• Description: The CS-type interface is similar to the C-type but has a shorter distance to the focal plane.
• Specifications: The distance from the contact surface to the focal plane is 12.5mm.

Key Differences Between C-Type and CS-Type Interfaces

• Compatibility: C-type lenses are compatible with C-type cameras, and CS-type lenses work with CS-type cameras.
• Adapter Use: You can use a C-type lens with a CS-type camera by adding a 5mm C/CS adapter ring. This ring compensates for the different distances to the focal plane.
