On November 1, 2022, Ametek (NYSE: AME) announced the completion of two acquisitions — Navitar, Inc. and RTDS Technologies Inc. Ametek deployed approximately $430 million in total for these acquisitions, with the newly added teams generating approximately $100 million in annual sales.

The acquired teams will be integrated into Ametek's Electronic Instruments Group (EIG) — a manufacturer of advanced analytical, monitoring, testing, calibration, and display instruments.
Navitar, headquartered in Rochester, New York, is a renowned provider of advanced optical components, offering high-precision application solutions across various end markets.
Navitar is a market leader in designing, developing, and manufacturing customized, fully integrated optical imaging systems, cameras, components, and software. The company provides technologically advanced innovative optical solutions for key applications in rapidly growing end markets, including medical and life sciences, machine vision and robotics, and industrial automation.

RTDS's solutions are used for prototype design, verification, and closed-loop testing of power grids, power instrumentation, and network performance, helping to shorten product development cycles and reduce testing costs.
