The general cleaning order for removing dust from the lens is to "blow, brush, and wipe."

• Combination 1: Air blower + brush + ultra-fine non-woven lens tissue.
• Combination 2: Air blower + brush + microfiber lens cloth + professional cleaning solution.
• Combination 3: Compressed air canister + microfiber lens cloth + professional cleaning solution + short cotton swabs.

Steps/Methods

1. Blow Dust: Use an air blower or compressed air canister to blow away large dust particles from the lens.
2. Brush Dust: Gently brush off dust from top to bottom using a soft brush.
3. Wipe Stubborn Stains: If you encounter stubborn stains, use ultra-fine non-woven lens tissue or microfiber lens cloth. Wipe in a spiral motion from the center outward.
4. Clean Edges and Switches: For edges of zoom rings, focus rings, and other movable parts, as well as switch buttons on the lens, use short cotton swabs dipped in a small amount of lens cleaning solution to wipe.

• Avoid Low-Quality Cleaning Materials: Using low-quality lens tissues or lens cloths can produce lint or dust and even scratch the lens when wiping.
• Be Cautious with Air Blowers: Low-quality rubber air blowers can age and become sticky. Some use talcum powder in manufacturing, which could introduce additional dust to the lens. Always use high-quality blowers.
• Use Cleaning Solution When Necessary: While ultra-fine non-woven lens tissues or microfiber lens cloths can clean ordinary smudges, stubborn stains might require a professional cleaning solution to be removed.
