Project Background The equipment manufacturer is a terminal customer in the hardware manufacturing industry, and the customer needs to detect the contours of the workpieces to filter out defective products.
Project Challenges The customer initially used manual visual inspection to detect the contour of the workpieces, resulting in low production efficiency, with occasional missed detections and misidentifications. Automated inspection is now required.
Solution Overall Objective: Provide the customer with a camera and supporting hardware configuration.
Customer Requirements:

Field of View (FOV): 50mm*38mm The field of view must be larger than the product.

Working Distance Requirement: 95mm Due to production site limitations, the required working distance is 95mm±5mm.

Provide a Complete Hardware Solution: Provide a complete hardware solution where the software can recognize and process the images captured by the camera. The image should have a clear distinction between black and white, highlighting product contour features, and work in coordination with the software.
Configuration Parameters
- Project Parts List: The customer provides samples. Based on the shape, size, and contour characteristics of the samples, choose the appropriate camera, lens, and other hardware to determine the working distance and field of view.
Schematic Diagram The actual field of view is 50mm*38mm, allowing detection of all content within the field of view.
Effect Diagram The lighting effect on the customer's workpiece products.
